Medical Insurance Premiums
Employees whose medical insurance premiums are paid on their behalf by their employer can get tax relief on the premiums
Rent Tax Credit
For individuals paying private or rented accommodation on 7 December 2010. The tax credit will cease in 2017.
Incapacitated Child Tax Credit
For any parent or custodian of a child who is permanently incapacitated either physically or mentally.
Dirt Relief for First time home buyers
DIRT rate of 41% is applied to deposit accounts. And if a first time buyer has purchased by 15 October 2014, they can claim back DIRT they have paid on their savings up to 20% of the purchase price of the home.
Home Renovation Incentive
Tax relief at 13.5% for renovations or work carried out on a main home or rental by a qualifying contractor.
Single Person Child Carer Credit
Available to a single person who has custody and maintains a child who is living with him/her. Only one parent can qualify.
